A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to inactive email addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty if you have a shared hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet astonishingly intuitive, and it will enable you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one of them you’ll see a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking on it once more will disable it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you already have a different mailbox with this option enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be set up with a couple of clicks if you’ve got a semi-dedicated package with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed via our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create email addresses under any domain name registered there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a certain mailbox, you’ll need to click the icon with the same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Disabling this feature can be accomplished in the same manner and will not require more than one click either. If a catch-all mailbox has already been activated for a certain domain, you will receive a warning note. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never edit or deactivate anything automatically.
